Local Trades Direct is an introductory service that connects homeowners seeking trade services with independent tradespeople operating in their local area. We facilitate introductions only; we are not a party to any contract between a homeowner and a tradesperson.

3. For Homeowners

3.1 Submitting Enquiries

When you submit an enquiry, you confirm that:

• The information you provide is accurate and complete.
• You are the owner of or have authority to arrange work on the property in question.
• You are 18 years of age or older.

3.2 No Obligation

Submitting an enquiry does not oblige you to hire any tradesperson. You are free to accept, decline, or ignore any quote received.

3.3 Direct Engagement

Any contract for work is between you and the tradesperson directly. We are not responsible for the quality, timing, pricing, or completion of any work carried out.

4. For Tradespeople

4.1 Registration

When registering, you confirm that:

• You are legally entitled to carry out the trade services you have listed.
• You hold all required qualifications, certifications, and insurance for the work you undertake (e.g. Gas Safe registration for gas work, NICEIC or equivalent for electrical work).
• Your contact details and business information are accurate.

4.2 Conduct

Tradespeople must not use homeowner contact details for any purpose other than responding to the specific enquiry received. Unsolicited marketing to homeowners via our platform is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension.

4.3 Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at hello@localtradesdirect.co.uk.

5. Prohibited Uses

You must not use our Service to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent enquiries or profile information.
• Harvest contact details for unsolicited marketing.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or damage any part of our systems.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Submit multiple enquiries for the same job to artificially inflate lead volume.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Local Trades Direct or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that tradespeople are qualified, insured, or will perform work to any particular standard. We strongly recommend homeowners verify credentials independently before engaging any tradesperson.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Trades Direct shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or any work carried out by a tradesperson introduced through our platform.

Our total liability to you for any direct loss shall not exceed £100.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Local Trades Direct from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms
